Advertising and Presentation Videos
Feature films, music videos, and even YouTube commercials share many similarities. The difference lies in pacing: a film has much more time for each scene, with lengths that can vary. We're talking about a 1.5–2 hour experience. Music videos have fewer scenes, shorter durations, and a much stricter rhythm. They usually last 3.5–4 minutes. Presentation videos typically follow the same format, while commercials are usually about 30 seconds long.
From experience, we can say: the shorter the time to convey information and emotion, the more important it is to invest in scripting and scene content. A short time frame naturally forces you to focus: What matters most? What do you want to say right now? What feeling do you want to convey?
